Dangerous Contacts? No way, says Michelle Phan

Long story short--

Good Morning America's JuJu Chang did a story on an eye contact crazy Tuesday morning...that she says was inspired by Lady Gaga. The story was about how circle lenses could be dangerous.

The story mentions Michelle Phan's tutorial on how to look like Lady Gaga-- check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHVOxhEpjp0

Tonight, Michelle Phan says circle lenses are NOT dangerous... here is exactly what she said on Facebook: "Circle Lens will not blind you. Just don't buy the cheap ones and like everything else in life, everything in moderation. There are millions of Circle Lens fans that's been wearing these lens on a daily basis for years that have not gone blind. Consult a doctor If you are worried. Other than that, I bet you no one that... made the negative statement has even worn or even touch circle lens. Lady Gaga did not make circle lens popular. This is old news and circle lens has been popular for 5-6 years. Obviously, the person who wrote the article did not do further research to find that one of the first circle lens was made by Acuvue called 1 Day Acuvue Define http://bit.ly/bQVPZZ"

God this michelle phan girl is such an idiot! She's not even a doctor and yet she's saying a bunch of lies upon lies about circle lenses. There is ALOT of research about circle lenses being dangerous. Not only is it illegal, but it can blind you. You don't need to wear circle lenses whatsoever to make "your eyes bigger". The risk of cutting your cornea is not worth the price of beauty. I'm upset that Michelle phan decides to promote this kind of behavior. Okay first of all, michelle you are not a doctor. "Circle Lens will not blind you. Just don't buy the cheap ones and like everything else in life, everything in moderation. There are millions of Circle Lens fans that's been wearing these lens on a daily basis for years that have not gone blind. Consult a doctor If you are worried. " First of all, don't buy anything without consulting with a doctor especially something that's online. You actually would put that kind of thing in your eye...yeah talk about ignorant. I hate the fact that asian girls want their eyes to be bigger. It proves to me and others you have low esteem and you have FAKE written all over you. Who cares if you have "small" eyes? You can't change who you are, if you do you're just putting a fake mask all over you. Love yourself the way you are. NO matter how much you change on the outside, you will still remainThe fact that bothers me is that Michelle says people have not done their research. Well obviously they have, many doctors are against this. I work at the hospital, and I've seen a lot of girls whose eyes were seriously about to dislocate out of the eye socket, and yet they continue to wear them. Michelle, stick with what you know. You're not a doctor, if a billion doctors tell you the risks and dangerous about circle lenses, I suggest you take their advice above yours. Stick with what you know Michelle. There's a reason why circle lenses are ILLEGAL in the US.

Honestly, dangers come in normal lenses too. You just don't hear it in the news as often. Circle lens are only shunned by the U.S. but other countries DO allow them. The only reason why circle lens are not FDA approved is because the companies haven't applied their lens to the FDA. Acuvue has new lens that are like circle lenses too! They are the Acuvue define and are the same size as most of the circle lens out there. Get your facts straight before you start ranting on about your lack of knowledge.
