I never go on the south side of town because I don't live there. Plus, I always feel a little like I'm in cougar country. Sorry if that's offensive to anyone. It's not meant to be. I am just intimidated by some of the south side cougars.
Anyhoo...
My friend Megahn is in town, and she wanted to eat somewhere local... we were downtown for Artwalk, and we thought about going to Bijan's. However, she had been to Bijan's before. So, I said, "Why not go to Touch?" After all, former Bijan's owner, Mike Jalili, now owns Touch.
Anyway, Touch had great drink specials-- half off wine and martinis.
It also had a great happy hour menu (which we did not order from, but it looked good.)
But we were super-pleased with the sunset dinner menu.
We had a 3-course dinner for $15.95! I ordered the lobster bisque, the beef medallions, and creme brulee.
Megahn ordered hummus, chicken kabobs, and the flourless chocolate cake.
It was delicious. I even ordered something for Jim (who was at home, salivating through his text messages.)
We had such a great time, and I really enjoyed it. I've been to Touch before, but the first experience was horrible, and the second was just okay. I guess the third time's the charm.

3 course meal for $15.95? Are you sure you weren't at the Royal Buffet?
haha! It's far away from D.C... that's all I can say about that!
