Okay, so I went to the bloggers meeting last night. I was the only person there with breasts. I had a great time hangin' with the boys, but I think women bloggers need to unite! Now I know what Snarling Marmot and Granny Geek were talking about.
I believe the meetings are the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Patton Alley Pub...help me out, is that right?

I was wondering if women bloggers ever showed up.
I was 45 minutes late because I had a liveshot in Harrison, AR. at 6pm...so if any women showed up, I missed them!
We usually are a bit light on female bloggers. But, for the most part, the boys try to behave themselves--imperfectly to be sure.
I'm beginning to think that moving to twice per month was not a good idea. We were drawing 15+ per meeting before the change. And the meetings lasted until past 10 p.m. When the agenda is "drink and adjourn," long meetings are a good thing :-)
Well, since it was my first appearance, I didn't really have an opinion...but the consensus was to move the meetings back to once a month.
Welcome to the community.
Sorry I missed meeting you last night. My kids have soccer practice and see as how my wife and I are the coaches... well, I couldn't make it.
Hope you will attend again sometime soon. Amy needs all the help she can get controlling the Y chromosomes hanging about.
I've always wanted to come. But it seems rather complicated. First I have to find a babysitter. Then I have to disguise myself so that my whole career doesn't crash around me as I'm caught at a bar with a buncha bloggers. ;)
I'll be the short woman with the hoodie, dark glasses and the pasted on mustache.
So you're the woman who kidnapped that little girl in St. Louis!
She had a fake mustache? Hmm... I really should do more research before picking out my disguise.
I put the pic of you really small and in the middle of a long post .... hope I didn'g blow your cover!
No worries Darin,
That's Amy from Snarling Marmot. I'm Amy from Gentlewhisper.com.
I had a great time even though I showed up at 9:15. I missed the whole crowd but a chosen few. I think once a month meetings would be better. I learned a lot about journalistic philosophy and differing approaches from the discussion with you and David.
I'm glad you got to come. Sorry I wasn't there. School takes it's toll these days. One smart lady can equal a gaggle of drunk guys anyday. So I'm sure it evened out. Especially if Stoner was there. He tends to bring our IQ down several notches, but he has some dandy stories.
